EMR Single Sign-On (SSO)

ADL EMR Provides Single Sign-on for:

Healthix Regional Health Information Exchange
eMOLST MOLST instructions
Windows Supports Windows Active Directory
COMS Portal
Emdeon Patient Eligibility, Claims Management
Phicure Patient Eligibility, Claims Management

With Single Sign-On you can access another system on the Internet without having to logon to their system. Once SSO is setup the user can access the Remote system directly from the ADL EMR. When accessing Remote system the SSO login retrieves the data for the same patient that you are working on in the ADL EMR. The auto-select patient feature must be supported by the SSO Logon method.

This makes access quick and easy, avoiding having to Login and Logout of the programs multiple times.

eMOLST Medical Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment Program – Single Sign-on

MOLST is a clinical process that emphasizes discussion of the patient’s goals for care and shared medical decision-making between health care professionals and patients who are seriously ill or frail, for whom their physician may be expecting their decease within the next year. The result is a standardized set of medical orders documented on the MOLST form that reflect the patient’s preferences for life-sustaining treatment.

Windows Integrated Single Sign-On

Windows SSO enables you to access multiple applications within your network once you logon using your Windows username and password.

Using a common authentication service, the system verifies your credentials and determines the actions that you can perform based on your user rights. If Windows SSO is enabled you do not have to sign-on to the ADL software. ADL applications will use your Windows SSO as your user identification.

ADL Software Update Ready for Download

A new financial update is available:
Release Name: OFU36.01
Release Date: September 13, 2016
Webinar Date: September 12, 2016

Technical Notes:

This release is to be applied via the ADLUpdater. The package is large (about 300 MB), and may take up to 2 hours to apply. The longest parts are scripts related to the ICD update. The timeout for scripts was set to 100 minutes.

Clients should not forcefully stop the ADLUpdater unless it displays a “Could not apply the update” error message.

Since the package is large, customers may want to pre-download it prior to the scheduled down time. They can use “Download Updates” button of the ADLUpdater which will not force an update application right away. When the download is complete they will need to press the “Apply Updates” button to start update application. In this case until the “Apply Updates” button is pressed users can continue using the system.

ADL Updates must be applied sequentially according to release date, in the order specified in the ADL Updates Installation Guide, available here.

A webinar containing instructions for applying ADL software updates is available here.
